Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Serves: 20 servings
- 5 lbs. potates (I prefer Russet)
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 2 cups chicken broth
- ½ C butter
- 1 C sour cream
- 1½ tsp. onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 C warm milk
- Peel and cut potatoes into one inch pieces
- In a 5 qt. slow cooker, add potatoes, chicken broth, and butter
- Cook on high for 5 hours until potatoes are soft
- Add all remaining ingredients, minus the milk
- Using an electric mixer, beat until whipped
- Slowly add warm milk until smooth
- Cover on low setting until ready to serve.
