Today I went to CVS with two cards (mine and my mom’s).  I had $7.99 in ECB’S when I went in, and I came out with $18 in ECB’s and spent about $20 out of pocket.  (1 pack of Huggies Jean Diapers not picutred!)

When I printed at the coupon kiosk, I received a $5 ECB for over $50 in Beauty purchases on my mom’s card (Trust me, we never spent $50! LOL).  She also received a $10 off $50.  I received a $4 off huggies jean diapers. 

First, I used my card to purchase the saline soltuion, and I used my $7.99 ECB (that I had when I walked in the store).  The saline was $7.99 and I received $6 ECB. So, I really only spent about  $1.99 (and that’s not even out of pocket).  Then, I bought the Jean Diapers for $8.99-$4 ECB- $1.50 coupon.  So, I spent about $3.49 on these.

Then, I went to my mom’s card, I had my two coupons for FREE shampoo. One for Pantene and one for Herbal Essence.  I had a $2 coupon for the saline, a $1 coupon for the Purex Crystals, (2) $1 off the crest items, $3 off the Bengay, and $1 off the Bounty.  These, in conjunction with the $10/$50 ECB, and the $5 Beauty ECB, I spent about $18.  So, overall, I spent no more than $23 on this entire transaction.  We DESPERATELY needed the dog bed for our new puppy, because he’s getting too big to be on our bed anymore! LOL Hopefully, this will help you see how we do deals!

My kids were begging for a big vacation this year so I started looking online a while back. I ended up finding a great cruise in the Caribbean that lasted ten days that’s way more affordable than any other land vacation we could take. So! The new site is finally here!! Yay!!! And there are going to be some new features, and that’s what I want to write about tonight.

First, there will eventually be a widget on the right hand side of the blog that will say Coupon Database.  You will be able to type in any product and see if there is a coupon available for that product! This is an AMAZING feature, and so worth it for all of us in the end! This was not cheap, so all I ask is that you use it! LOL

Also, I’m going to start working with other bloggers so that you can eventually go to the “stores” tab, click on various drug stores, grocery stores, or department stores, and click on their “weekly deal” links.  This will take a little bit longer to set up, as I start working with other bloggers.  However, each deal will have a little box beside it, and you can click on those boxes, and when you’ve checked all the deals you want, you will be able to print your list!!!!

If you look in the lower right hand corner of the screen now, you should see a “my list” tab.  After you’ve selected your deals, they will show up in this list, and you can print them. How amazing is that!!!!!!!!!

Again, my only request is that once this is up and running that you utilize the features!!

Also, you will now notice that previous posts are in groups at the bottom.  You can also click on “previous posts” to see posts that are older than those listed.  The last thing, is that I TOTALLY wanted to go with a background color, but I found out that when you print off your lists, the pages will print out in that color, and I’m trying to save your ink!!!

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. Free coupons or “offers at the register” (OAR’s) are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. You can use more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free and pay any applicable tax. For example, if Revlon lipstick is on sale at our store for BOGO, you can use two $1.00 off Revlon lipstick manufacturer coupons.

CVS/pharmacy does accept manufacturers’ coupons that have been obtained from manufacturer sponsored and/or authorized Web sites. The coupon should be complete and contain a bar code that can be scanned at the register. If the coupon does not scan, the cashier should politely inform you that we cannot accept your coupon.
